Subventions de projets stratégiques – Résultats du concours de 2010-2011

Le CRSNG a accordé54,9 millions de dollars sur trois ans à 122 demandes dans le cadre du concours de subventions de projets stratégiques et de l’Initiative en nouveaux médias de 2010. Au total, 547 demandes ont été reçues, soit le plus grand nombre de demandes reçues par rapport aux concours des années antérieures. Par conséquent, le taux de réussite est passé à 22 p. 100. Toutefois, le montant moyen des subventions est de 150 600 $ par année. Un financement accru a été affecté aux domaines ciblés qui sont liés aux priorités en science et en technologie du gouvernement fédéral, soit les technologies avancées de communication et de gestion de l’information, l’environnement et les écosystèmes sains, les systèmes énergétiques durables et la fabrication concurrentielle.

Six subventions ont été accordées à des projets de collaboration avec des chercheurs en France, étant donné le récent protocole d’entente avec l’Agence nationale de la recherche, et trois subventions ont été accordées à des projets avec des chercheurs taïwanais par suite d’une entente semblable avec le conseil national des sciences de Taïwan. Les projets internationaux ont été évalués dans leurs pays respectifs selon les mêmes critères que les projets nationaux. Chaque organisme subventionnaire financera les activités de ses propres chercheurs.
