| Japan Society for the Promotion of Science postdoctoral fellowships The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) has established the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Foreign Researchers. A limited number of promising early career researchers are given the opportunity to conduct research in Japanese institutions and in designated research institutions and laboratories. NSERC is responsible for recommending Canadian nominees for JSPS postdoctoral fellowships. |
| NSERC Indigenous Student Ambassadors The NSERC Indigenous Student Ambassadors (NISA) grant promotes interest and participation in natural sciences and engineering, through the visits of Indigenous students and fellows to Indigenous communities and schools. NSERC encourages qualified Indigenous students and fellows to apply for this award. |
