Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy

The 2023 to 2027 Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy (DSDS) outlines NSERC’s efforts to advance sustainable development within its mandate and describes the actions that the agency is taking to support the 2022 to 2026 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy (FSDS) and the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

A new DSDS is tabled in Parliament within one year after the tabling of each new FSDS. Annual progress reports will be published to inform Canadians of the results achieved towards fulfilling our commitments.

In alignment with these strategies, NSERC’s Commitment to Environmental Sustainability describes actions the agency is taking to integrate environmental considerations in its operations.
